Now for ONLY $1 you can "Bear Hug a U.S. Soldier" for Memorial Day 2008 to show your respect and support.

You will not be making a political statement. You will simply be honoring our soldiers.

A 5″ bear will be delivered on or near Memorial Day to each member of our Armed Forces in Iraq, Afghanistan or in a Veteran's Hospital.
140,000 of the bears that go overseas will be distributed through Operation: Care and Comfort - a volunteer program that provides monthly support and comfort to "adopted" units of deployed U.S. military service members, serving in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other conflict regions.
70,000 of the bears that go overseas will be distributed through Operation Gratitude - a volunteer program who seeks to lift troops' morale, and bring a smile to their faces by sending care packages to service members overseas.
The Veterans Administration will deliver 90,000 of the bears to those currently in Veteran's Hospitals.
Unlike many other giving programs, 100% of your $1 contribution goes to purchase of the bears or to one of the following organizations: Operation: Care and Comfort or Operation Gratitude. Through the generosity of corporations, private citizens, volunteers, no part of your money is used to administer the "BEAR HUG A U.S. SOLDIER" for Memorial Day program.
